Abstract:
PURPOSE: To back up the data of the large-capacity storage device of an information processor without interfering the ordinary processing of the information processor.
CONSTITUTION: The input-output interfaces of magnetic disk devices 701-70N are duplexed in constitution and one-side of the interfaces 901-90N are exclusively used for backup. A backup disk control mechanism 6 reads data from the magnetic disk devices 701-70N through the interfaces 901-90N in accordance with the information in a backup RAM 10 without using any data bus and writes the read data in a backup device 11.
