Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an encoder circuit in response to a storage length code and a word clock signal by forming the word form encoder with four GF adders, two fixed value g1 multipliers and two storage registers. SOLUTION: A parallel input word for encoder has two fixed value g1 multipliers 22, four GF adders 20, and two storage registers 24, 26 being registers R0 , R1 for registering. The encoder 18 has two inputs 21, 23 to which data bytes mi+1 , mi is received. A combination between a term produced from feedback of initial contents Vi , Wi of the registers R0 , R1 on lines 25, 29 in one word clock cycle and the incoming data bytes mi+1 , mi is obtained at an output of the adders 20 and the multipliers 22 of the encoder. The longest propagation path in this encoder is a path passing through the two fixed value g1 multipliers 22 and the three GF adders 20.
