To provide a data broadcast contents preview device that can efficiently make a preview of data broadcast contents with a simpler device configuration.
A preview use multiplexed stream storage section 101 stores a preview stream including video, audio and auxiliary information. A preview use multiplexed stream red section 102 reads a preview stream from the preview use multiplexed stream storage section 101. A data broadcast contents storage section 103 stores data of data broadcast contents. A data broadcast contents read section 104 reads data of data broadcast contents from the data broadcast contents storage section 103. A packet processing section 105 assembles read data into packets. A multiplexer section 106 repetitively multiplexes the packets of the data broadcast contents assembled into packets for the preview stream. A digital broadcast receiver 107 reproduces the multiplexed stream.
