PURPOSE: To initialize a desired I/O unit through an extended bus.

CONSTITUTION: A data collecting and distributing device constituted of a CPU 1 and plural I/O units 2, is equipped with an initializing processing request register 3 provided in the CPU 1, setting device 4 which stores the values of preliminarily decided address and data, a reset history holding register 6 which holds a reset signal 5, and a control part 7 which outputs the content of the address and data stored in the setting device 4 by an instruction from the reset history holding part 6 to a bus 1a, and writes the data in an address position corresponding to the prescribed I/O unit 2 in the initializing processing request register 3. The initializing processing request of the I/O unit 2 is informed through the bus 1a to the CPU 1.
