Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data communication stepping switch in a fiber channel network for canceling difficulty in compatibility between circuit switching and frame switching on the fiber channel network. SOLUTION: A switch module 220 is connected through a channel control box 210 to the F port in fiber channel fabric, and a transfer path allocator 230 is connected to the switch module 220. Then, the priority of connection is determined by allocating a mutual data connecting path between optical fibers/channels inside the channel control box 210 through the transfer path allocator 230, a frame is directed between F ports, and services for an optical fiber switch element 200 is provided by an element controller 240 connected to the switch module 220 and the transfer path allocator 230.
