Abstract:
PURPOSE: To attain data communication with simple revision on the software by using a parity bit as a 9-th bit when data are sent from a unit of 8-bit type to a unit of a 9-bit type.
CONSTITUTION: A microprocessor 21 of 8-bit type is provided on the side of a CD changer 20 and a microprocessor 15 of 9-bit type is provided on the side of a control circuit 10. When data are sent from the unit of 8-bit type to the unit of 9-bit type, the unit of 8-bit type is controlled so that the parity bit used by the unit of 8-bit type is used as the 9-th bit as it is, Thus, data communication is executed between the units of 8 and 9 bits only with simple revision of the software.
