PURPOSE: To normally receive a signal even at the time of the noise level higher than a certain value by resetting a detector to perform the next receiving operation at the time when reception of a synchronizing character is not detected within a certain time regardless of detection of the reception level higher than a certain value.
CONSTITUTION: When a significant signal is inputted to a reception control part 16 from a detector 13 which detects the reception level higher than the certain value, the control part 16 operates a time counting function part 15 to wait for input of a significant signal from a detector 14 which detects reception of the synchronizing character. If a certain time is counted in the time counting function part 15 before the input of the significant signal from this detector 14, a function part 17 to reset detection of the reception level higher than the certain value is operated. Then, the detector 13 which detects the reception level higher than the certain value is reset to prepare for the next receiving operation. Thus, normal reception is possible even in noisy circumstances.
