PURPOSE: To use the print information of a CTS system as both side data of an NAPLPS system by applying the code conversion of character information stored in a data base of an electronic computer photoimplanting system and applying the format convertion of print information to character information.

CONSTITUTION: The CTS system 20 automating the electronic computer processing and the composition processing of a character original and the NAPLPS system accessing and displaying character and graphic information through a communication line such as a local area network or a telephone line are connected to apply the code conversion of the character information and the format conversion of the print information stored in the data base 24 of the CTS system. The data of the CTS system 20 is converted into the character pattern data for the NAPLPS system and stored in a character pattern data storage section 29. The character pattern data is displayed on the display screen 31 of an NAPLPS input device 32 together with the graphic pattern data stored in the graphic pattern data storage section 33 of the NAPLPS system 30. Thus, the KANJI (Chinese character) information of the CTS system is converted into the data of the NAPLPS system and displayed on the screen.
