Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a high-reliability data demodulation method by which the certainty of the result of bit conversion is obtained to clarify a countermeasure and erroneous reading in considerably reduced.
SOLUTION: A reproduced signal waveform is converted to a digital signal by analog/digital conversion, and the time interval between peaks of the digitized reproduced signal is measured, and individual inter-peak interval values constituting a one-character portion are compared with a reference value to convert the signal to a bit array consisting of binary data, thus demodulating data of the one-character portion. Further, ideal reproduced waveform of each character to e reproduced is preliminarily prepared as reference waveform data; and if inter-peak interval values are smaller or larger than the reference value, pattern matching between data of individual inter-peak intervals constituting the one-character portion and reference waveform data is performed, and a pertinent character is decided by the similarity.
