PURPOSE: To reduce the number of signal terminals, by designating selectively an address by the setting operation to a fixed storage means of an accessory and by data from a camera body, to transfer variable data and fixed data from the fixed storage means to the body.
CONSTITUTION: An address designating signal of an ROM in a data output part 7 on the lens LE side is outputted in series from a circuit IF of the body through terminals JB2 and JL2, and fixed data is sent in series from the output part 7 to the circuit IF through terminals JL2 and JB2. When this transfer is completed, data from information output devices DS and FS on the lens side are used as an address signal to designate an address of the ROM, and information is transferred to the circuit IF in series. When the data transfer from the lens is completed, the circuit IF sets a terminal, which is connected to a terminal i3 of a microcomputer 1, to "H" to stop the lens data reading operation. Thus, one terminal is used as the terminal for transmitting fixed data as well as the terminal for transmitting variable, namely, set data to reduce the number of terminals.
