Abstract:
To provide a data processing apparatus capable of readily reducing the power consumption of a CPU.
The data processing apparatus 2 is provided having a CPU 11 with a weight signal input 21 which, when asserted, stops at least some of its internal functions, and an interrupt controller 17 with a state control function 26 that outputs a weight signal 2 to assert the weight signal input 21 according to instructions from the CPU 11. A program 40 that controls the CPU 11 can hold the CPU 11 in a standby state to reduce the power consumption of the CPU 11 in the manner of software.
