Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide the data processing system which can output an output waveform with improved pulse width resolution. CONSTITUTION: In an example, this system uses a counter 34 which operates at the operation frequency of the system and is carried up with an input clock 20. A counter 34 is carried up with not 1, but raised 2, and consequently the counter 34 operates fast with raised 2. To improve the effective resolution of the counter 34, a 2nd edge of the output waveform 22 should be adjusted correctly according to a desired duty cycle and a period. Consequently, resolution of raised 2 is generated and the counter 34 which utilizes the operation frequency of the system is obtained as the input clock 20.
