Abstract:
To perform operation instruction similar to conventional pointing device on the basis of moves of an object picked up by an imaging means.
The move of a finger in the direction (the X-axis direction or the Y-axis direction) perpendicular to the optical axis direction of an imaging part 14, and the display location of a pointer is moved on a display screen on the basis of the move. The move of the finger in the optical axis direction (the Z-axis direction) of the imaging part 14 is detected and when the finger is close to the imaging part 14 and within a defined range, the selected operations of items specified by the display location of the pointer on the display screen are detected.
