Abstract:
PURPOSE: To shorten the time of data transfer on a communication line and to shorten the processing time of data by saving data from a host computer in a data saving area.
CONSTITUTION: Data saving areas are provided in a terminal device in the data saving preferential order of a work station memory 33, a work station disk 34, and a terminal control disk 22. When data are requested to the host computer 10, the data saving areas are retrieved to check whether or not there are the pertinent data and when the data are present, the data are read out, but when not, the data are requested to the host computer 10, thereby saving the data in the data saving areas in the set saving preferential order.
