An opening having a diameter capable of loosely inserting a data storage body 2 is formed on the vertical front face of a casing 11 and coils Ls, Lr are fitted to the surface or rear of the coil holding mechanism consisting of a plate-like body such as a printed board 15 so as to be covered with a cover or exposed. These coils Ls, Lr are held so that the electromagnetic coupling faces of the coils Ls, Lr are put upward or upper obliquely and in a horizontal direction to the vertical faces. Consequently the data storage body 2 can easily be handled at the time of reading out data.
