PURPOSE: To obtain the data record storing system for improving throughput by eliminating the generation of exclusive wait or dead lock in the case of storing data records in a data base.

CONSTITUTION: Concerning the data record storing system provided with a block securing means 1, record writing means 2, write block deciding means 3, record number converting means 4, block number converting means 5, record reading means 6 and table control information storage part 7, blocks are secured in continuous areas by the block securing means 1, at the time of writing records, they are written while deciding the blocks to be candidates to be written the records by the wirte block deciding means 3, and record numbers are decided by using the record number converting means 4. Since the data records can be stored at arbitrary positions in the continuous blocks, exclusive wait/dead lock is reduced.
