To solve a problem wherein such conventional recording devices as a flight recorder and the like cannot preserve data for more than a prescribed period because the data is recorded in a memory in turn.
A memory region of the memory is divided into a plurality of blocks, and the divided blocks are divided into predetermined number of groups of a group constituted with one block and a group constituted with the plurality of blocks. Then, the specified group is successively selected in turn when writing of the data to the memory is performed. When writing of the input data to the specified block belonging to the selected specified group is performed, in a case that a group whose constitution unit is a plurality of blocks is selected as a specified group, a block where writing of the data is performed is switched in turn whenever the group is selected in the plurality of block regions belonging to the selected group.
