Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a data reproducer in which a waveform equalizing characteristics can be always optimized with a simple structure.
CONSTITUTION: A waveform equalizer 4 is divided into a variable phase compensator 41 and an amplitude compensator 42. Data is detected by a detector 5 and a PLL 6 from a reproduced signal waveform-equalized by the equalizer 4. After the detected data is demodulated by a demodulator 7, an error corrector 8 corrects an error of the data, and generates an error signal. An error rate is obtained from the error signal by an error rate measuring circuit 9. A control signal generator 10 so controls a phase compensation amount of the compensator 41 that the rate becomes minimum.
