Abstract:

To enable a data sampling method in a welding machine, capable of data sampling synchronized to the actual position of a welding torch even in the case where pulse command type servo control is used in which no actual position of the welding torch is measurable.

A command pulse corresponding to a change in a command locus us given from the controller 1 to a servo amplifier 2. The servo amplifier 2 drives a servo motor 5 in accordance with the command. In the meantime, the command pulse is also given to a command value counter 7, with a command value calculated. The contents of the command value counter 7 correspond to the command locus. Am actual position calculating means 8, on the basis of the contents of the command value counter 7, calculates the actual position of a welding torch. The welding torch position so calculated is given to a data sampling means 9. The data sampling means 9, by synchronizing to the given position of the welding torch, performs sampling of a welding current, voltage, etc. with a method similar to a conventional technique.
