Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a data switching system in a multiprocessor system in which data transfer capacity is high and the propagation delay of data between devices is small.
CONSTITUTION: A slot repeater 219 circulates a slot for executing data transfer on a data accumulation ring 210. A processor 280-1 outputs the data, a tag to show the device address of a transferring destination, and slot occupation information to show that the slot is occupied to the data accumulation ring 210-1 by putting them on the free slot. A two-way data switchboard 230-1 is located at an intersection point, and when it acquires the slot from the data accumulation ring 210-1 by the slot occupation information, it outputs the data and the accuplation information to show that this slot is occupied to the data accumulation ring 210-2 by putting them on the free slot in the case that the device designated by the tag is the device on the data accumulation ring 210-2. When a memory 290-2 acquires the slot by the slot occupation information, it fetches the data in the case that the device designated by the tag indicates its own device.
