In a data synchronization method, a schedule database 23 in a server 20 stores a plurality of schedule data, and a synchronization target selection processing section 25 in the server 20 selects a synchronization object data from the stored schedule data. Then, a communication section 21 in the server 20 transmits to a mobile terminal 10 a control signal to instruct to delete schedule data other than the selected synchronization target data, and to store the synchronization target data. The synchronization target selection processing section 25 selects the synchronization target data, based on the number of set items being set by the mobile terminal 10 to a memory capacity or less, and a set condition specified by the user to identify a past and a future schedule data referenced from the present.
