Abstract:
To provide a data transmission method by a machine-to-machine (M2M) device in a radio communication system.
The M2M device transmits a first ranging request message including an M2M short message service (M2M SMS) request instructing that the M2M SMS to be transmitted exists to a base station, and receives a first ranging response message including an M2M SMS response, basic connection identifier (CID), and a temporary CID timer from the base station. When the M2M SMS request is accepted by the base station, the M2M device, on the basis of the basic CID, transmits a second ranging request message including the M2M SMS to the base station, and receives a second ranging response message including an M2M SMS confirmation from the base station.
