Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform protection at the time of DB (database) update by allowing a manager to perform DB update for a stand-by system agent first when there is operation accompanied by the DB update.
SOLUTION: Through operation 8 of the manager 1, the manager 1 sends a control command to the stand-by system agent 3-2 through a communication line 2 as shown by a path 9. The stand-by system agent 3-2 having received the control command from the manager 1 writes its own DB 4-2 through a path 10 and also sends 11 a control command and a DB-update completion report to an in-use system agent 3-1 through the communication line 2. The in-use system agent 3-1 sets the update flag of DB ON, issues a control command 12 to NE (network element) 7 through a communication line 6, and informs the stand-by system agent 3-2 of an answer through a communication line 6 from the NE 7 as shown by a path 13. The stand-by system agent 3-2 reports the received control answer to the manager 1.
