Abstract:
PURPOSE: To furnish a DC arc furnace making it possible to increase the number of set contact pins and to make a furnace capacity large, without impairing a cooling effect on a furnace bottom electrode.
CONSTITUTION: A furnace bottom electrode 10 has a large number of contact pins 25 making an arc forming current flow to a substance to be dissolved inside a furnace, a current board 16 being connected to the end parts of these contact pins 25 and distributing and supplying a current from a power source to each contact pin 25 and a water cooling means 21 for cooling this current board 16.
