Abstract:
PURPOSE:To reduce the voltage ripple over a full load range with a simple structure by controlling under constant frequency until the width of a chopper ON pulse becomes minimum, and stopping the generation of the chopper ON pulse when the width becomes the minimum or lower. CONSTITUTION:The pulse width of a comparator 10 is varied in response to the variation in the input voltage of a chopper thyristor at the normal load time to control the voltage under constant frequency. When a pulse width discriminator 14 discriminates that the pulse width of the comparator 10 becomes lower than the minimum value at the light load time, an AND gate 13 is closed to eliminate the transmission of the pulse of the comparator 10 to the pulse amplifier 16 side, thereby stopping the chopper ON pulse to control under the constant voltage.
