Abstract:
PURPOSE:To enhance the reliability of a system during a failure on the trolley line side or the D.C. power bus side, and to make it possible to effectively use recovery current, by combining breakers and a diode bridge circuit so that current flows through one and the same breaker during power running operation and recovery operation, and by allowing the recovery current to flow through the same breaker. CONSTITUTION:When a thyristor breaker 23 is closed, power running current is fed to a first trolley line 10a through a power running bus 3, a diode 22c, the breaker 23, a diode 32 and a D.C. breaker 9a, and is similarly fed to a second trolley line 10b through a diode 22b and a D.C. breaker 9b. In this arrangement, only one set of breakers 23 are provided in a power supply circuit for the first and second trolley lines 10a, 10b, and further power running current, recovery current and the like may be cut off. Further, it is possible to surely cope with a failure in the power running bus 3, a recovery bus 29 and the like by cutting off the current, and therefore the recovery current is effectively used. Further, only one set of breakers 23 are used, thereby it is possible to produce the device at a low cost and it is advantageous in economy.
