Abstract:
PURPOSE:To generate two types of power voltage with high efficiency by suppressing the power loss of a linear regulator which generates two types of power voltage of high and low levels through the switching and linear regulators respectively. CONSTITUTION:The voltage dividing resistors R1-R3 which divide the output voltage VH are provided on the output end of a chopper regulator 32, and the collector and the emitter of a transistor TR1 are connected to both ends of the resistor R1. At the same time, the control signal VS outputted from a control part 11 is inputted to the base of the TR1. Then the TR1 is turned on by the signal VS when a print part 9 is inactive, and the regulator 32 generates the voltage necessary for a series regulator 34 to generate the voltage VL of a low level. The TR1 is turned off when the part 9 is active, and the regulator 32 generates the voltage necessary for drive of the part 9.
