Abstract:
PURPOSE:To always ensure the stable control characteristic by changing the parameter of PID, etc., simultaneously with changing the sample value control cycle according to the varying dead time in a dead time varying process. CONSTITUTION:A calculation function is provided to calculate the dead time of a process 1 together with a detection function which detects the change of the dead time, and a cycle change function which changes a sampling cycle 5 in accordance with the change of the dead time. Furthermore a parameter change function 3 is added to change the control parameter into the optimum value in response to the change of the cycle 5. Then a PID arithmetic function 4 performs a PID operation based on the output of the function 3. In such a constitution, a sample value control cycle 8 is changed in response to the change of the dead time of the process 1. Then the control parameter of PID, etc., and the alarm setting parameter are always changed to each optimum value according to the change of the cycle 8. Thus the stable control characteristic is always secured with the constant control response properties for a dead time compensation controller.
