Abstract:
To solve a problem that, when a waste gate valve 24 is opened at deceleration, high-temperature exhaust emission flows into a catalyst device 23 at a downstream side of a turbine 12B, thus causing thermal deterioration.SOLUTION: A compressor 12A of a turbocharger 12 is constituted as a variable capacity compressor having an inlet area variable mechanism 19. When prescribed deceleration is required, a capacity of the compressor 12A is reduced prior to an increase of an opening of a waste gate valve 24, and after the lapse of a delay time ΔT, the increase of the opening of the waste gate valve 24 is started. In order to avoid a surge of the compressor 12A, an opening of a throttle valve 11 is reduced in a stage at which intake pressure P reaches a prescribed threshold P1 or lower.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
