PURPOSE: To provide the decoding system for an FM multiplex broadcast signal in which an FM multiplex broadcast of a mobile reception system is quickly received without error.
CONSTITUTION: The system is a decoding system for an FM multiplex broadcast signal of a product code form whose one frame comprises a data part consisting of plural blocks and each parity part in the lateral and longitudinal directions resulting from multiplexing a digital signal onto an FM broadcast signal, and error correction is applied to a lateral direction block in the product code form FM multiplex broadcast signal ((272, 190) coding decoding circuit 6), whether or not the block error is corrected is checked by CRC (CRC check circuit 7), and when the correction is disable as the result of the check, after error correction in the longitudinal direction is implemented, and error correction in the lateral direction is again implemented ((272, 190) coding decoding circuit 6) as a feature.
