Abstract:
To provide a decomposition agent for an organic halogen compound to quickly decompose the organic halogen compound to a harmless product while remarkably suppressing the generation of red water (aqueous suspension of iron oxide) and provide a method for the decomposition of an organic halogen compound.
The decomposition agent for an organic halogen compound is composed of metallic iron and metallic aluminum. The method for the decomposition of the organic halogen compound comprises the use of the decomposition agent.
