Abstract:
PURPOSE: To efficiently decompose the resin capable of recovering valuable materials without producing the waste gas caused from burning or problems such as land reclamation by bringing an aliphatic polycarbonate resin into contact with microorganisms containing genus Pseudomonas bacterium.
CONSTITUTION: Microorganisms containing an aliphatic polycarbonate resin- decomposing strain belonging to genus Pseudomonas [e.g.; Pseudomonas- paucimobilis-PC61 strain (FERM-P-14657)] are added to a jar fermenter filled with a culturing solution containing inorganic salts and cultured at 30°C for two days, and a film made of an aliphatic polycarbonate resin (e.g.; polyethylene carbonate) by hot pressing at 100°C is projected, brought into contact with the strain and cultured in a culturing condition at 5-37$0C and pH5-9, thus the aliphatic polycarbonate resin is efficiently decomposed without a pollution problem such as generation of waste gas by burning, making useless of land reclamation treatment and making possible of converging into a valuable substance or compost, etc.
