To provide decomposition media using fiber aggregates most suitable for activation of microorganisms in correspondence to the kinds of garbage and a crude refuse treatment device using these decomposition media.
The decomposition media 30 for garbage treatment are basically composed of inorganic or organic fibers having thermally fusing performance. The sizes, density and fiber fineness of the fiber aggregates are properly selected by the kinds and characteristics of the garbage, by which the surface area per unit area is increased and the balance of a water retaining property and water vaporization characteristic is obtained. In addition, the kinds of the fibers are properly selected, by which the decomposition media having the excellent affinity to the microorganisms and durability may be obtained. The garbage treatment device uses the optimum fiber aggregates in conformity with the kinds and characteristics of the garbage, stores the optimum operation patterns in conformity with the kinds of the fiber aggregates in a control section and controls feed and discharge rates and agitation/stop time cooperatively with a temperature sensor and a humidity sensor.
