To provide a display device which is provided in a driver's cab of a vehicle, sharply and clearly displays characters and patterns in the case of displaying the clock and the warning to improve the visibility, and also provides an excellent decorativeness and high quality feeling, and also to provide an ornamental used as a part of the display device.

The ornamental includes: a planar-convex lens type light condensing element layer formed by arraying a plurality of planer-convex lens type light condensing elements; a transparent or translucent light transmissive sheet layer; and a pixel layer formed by arraying a plurality of pixels. A light transmitting/shielding layer having a light transmitting part and a light shielding part formed in the shape of character and pattern, etc., is provided on the rear side of the pixel layer, and the virtual image of a first image formed by the plurality of pixels on the pixel layer is viewed lower or upper than the position of a second image formed with the light transmitted through the transmitting part of the light transmitting/shielding layer.
