PURPOSE: To enhance hue expression by applying color painting using color paint wherein pigments respectively different in specific gravity and particle size are mixed.

CONSTITUTION: An embossed pattern is formed to the surface of a base material 1 by an embossing roll. Subsequently, color paint arbitrarily mixed with pigment 4a having high specific gravity and a large particle size and pigment 4b having low specific gravity and a small particle size is uniformly applied to the surface having the embossed pattern formed thereto using a painting apparatus. After standing, the color paint 4 forms a recessed film layer A. At this time, the pigment 4a having high specific gravity and a large particle size is settled and the pigment 4b having low specific gravity and a small particle size forms a layer thereabove. By this method, the colors of recessed and protruding parts 2, 3 can be changed and design effect is enhanced.
