PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the durable strength and stability of a decorative veneer laminated plywood by a method wherein a thinly sliced decorative veneer is pasted through a synthetic resin bonding film consisting of adhesive infiltrated in paper onto the surface of a base plate plywood under the condition that the fiber direction of the veneer and that of the paper cross each other.
SOLUTION: By applying a first synthetic resin-based adhesive for pasting paper onto the surface of a base plateplywood 20 and pasting paper from above the plywood and fixing the paper by pressure so as to form a synthetic resin bonding film 27, in which the first adhesive is infiltrated in the whole paper. Then, a second synthetic resin-based adhesive 28 for pasting a decorative veneer is applied onto the surface of the synthetic resin bonding film 27 and a thinly sliced decorative veneer 22 is pasted from above the adhesive 28 under heat under the condition that the fiber direction of the veneer and that of the paper cross normal to each other. As a result, the bonding film 27 shows excellent counter-strength against the surface crack of the decorative veneer 22. The resultant plywood does not influenced by the change of humidity with the passage of time during use and has no fear of the development of ply separation of the decorative veneer 22, resulting in allowing to keep the intrinsically aesthetic effect of the decorative veneer for a long time.
