PURPOSE: To always maintain a refrigerant at an evaporator outlet in a wet state by providing a shut-off tube branched to an arbitrary position of a pipeline to a condenser inlet from a compressor outlet, forcibly cooling a refrigerant in the tube to form a saturated atmosphere, and sensing the atmospheric temperature.
CONSTITUTION: A high temperature and high pressure refrigerant gas discharged from a compressor 1 is fully filled in a shut-off tube 7, while a shut-off end of the tube 7 is brought into contact with a pipeline for connecting an expansion valve 3 to an evaporator 4 in which a low temperature and low pressure refrigerant liquid flows. Accordingly, the gas in the tube is cooled by a heat transfer, condensed, and liquefied to become a saturated state. Therefore, a thermistor 8 for sensing a refrigerant temperature in the tube always correctly senses a high pressure refrigerant condensing temperature, and outputs a signal of the condensing temperature to a controller 6. Since the temperature sensed by the thermistor 8 correctly becomes the high pressure refrigerant condensing temperature, a control of correctly calculating a compressor discharge gas superheat degree and matching it to a set value is performed, and hence the refrigerant at the evaporator oulet can be always maintained wet.
