Title:
DEFECT MONITORING SYSTEM OF HIGH VOLTAGE THYRISTOR VALVE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS61150664
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To effectively identify the place of a defect by detecting three types of signals from the presence of a normal firing pulse, a self-excited firing pulse supplied from each thyristor and a terminal voltage of each thyristor by a sole light emitting element. CONSTITUTION:A normal firing pulse applied from the secondary side of a pulse transformer 20 to the gate of a main thyristor 10 emits a light from a light emitting element 22 by a circuit having diodes D1, D2, the light emitting element 22, D8, D7. When an excess voltage is applied to the thyristor 20, it is broken over at 24, and a self-excited firing pulse is supplied through diodes D3, D4. This pulse emits a light 22 in the same passage as the normal pulse, but both are discriminated from the difference of the pulse width. A reverse voltage applied to the thyristor 20 is charged in a capacitor C by a circuit of the diode D6, the capacitor C, D8, resistor R2, and when raised to the prescribed level, a trigger diode D10, and a thyristor TH are turned ON, the capacitor C is discharged through D9 to emit a light 22. Thus, the defect can be effectively identified.
