Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the overturning of a defective container by holding the defective container, discharged by a rejecting device, from both sides.
SOLUTION: A container 2 capped with a cap by a rotary capper 4 is inspected by a capping failure detecting means 16. Upon detecting a capping failure, a control device computes the position of a pocket of a discharge star wheel 7 into which a defective container 2' is going to be accommodated. The control device conveys the defective container 2' over a rejecting position E4 and stores the defective container 2' in a guide groove 27a of a holding disc 27 in a delivery position E5 where a guide 23 comes to an end. At the same time, a push-in guide 32 is engaged with the outside of the defective container 2' so as to deliver the defective container 2 from the discharge star wheel 7 to a defective container receiving device 24. At this time, the defective container 2' is held by holding means provided on both sides of the guide groove 27a, so that the defective container 2' is prevented from overturning.
