Title:
DEFECTIVE INSERTION DETECTING DEVICE, DEFECTIVE INSERTION PREVENTING DEVICE AND DEFECTIVE COLLECTION DETECTING DEVICE FOR PAPER SHEETS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3764603
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent malfunction due to jamming with inserted paper sheets and to improve the reliability by switching light emission intensity from 1st light emission intensity to 2nd light emission intensity when an entrance sensor detects a paper sheet being carried and judging a defect in insertion when the intensity of photodetection of light having the 2nd light emission intensity decreases below reference intensity.
SOLUTION: When the entrance sensor 52 detects a paper sheet being carried, a control part 10 switches the light emission intensity of a light emitting element 51b of an insertion hole sensor 51 from the 1st light emission intensity to the 2nd light emission intensity (high-luminance mode). Thus, the light emission intensity is switched after the entrance sensor 52 detects the paper sheet, and then the photodetection intensity of light with the 2nd light emission intensity which has been transmitted through an area part where two or more two tickets are put one over the other can be detected. When the photodetection intensity decreases below the reference intensity, the control part 10 judges a defect in insertion of two or more tickets which are put one over the other.
