Abstract:

To simplify assembling of a BD mirror.

A principal part of scanning light L1 of a rotary polygon mirror 3 is image-formed on a photoreceptor not shown in the figure by a scanning lens 4. A part of the scanning L1 is separated as a scanning start signal by a BD mirror 5 at an end on the scanning surface and guided into the BD sensor 7. A scanning lens 4 has a BD mirror holding part 4b on its end, and the BD mirror 5 is buried in the BD mirror holding part 4b as an insert when the scanning lens 4 is molded out of resin into one body.
