Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of defluorinating an organic fluorinated compound which is easy to control reaction conditions, does not need hydrolysis treatment, is simple, and has a good selectivity.
SOLUTION: The defluorination treating method comprises treating an organic fluorinated compound by using a titanocene dihalide or titanocene monohalide catalyst in combination with an alkylmagnesium reagent in an organic solvent.
