Abstract:
To suppress the residual ice and to obtain power conservation by suitably discriminating the start of defrosting.
The defrost controller for a refrigerator comprises an air-in- cooler temperature sensing means 11 for sensing the return air temperature in a cold storage chamber, a storage means 20 for storing the respective temperature change patterns of the sensed temperature of the sensing means responsive to the frosting way to a cooler, and a forcible defrost starting means 17 for starting defrosting when the pattern is selected based on the initially sensed temperature of the means 11 and the aging temperature changer rate and the sensed temperature of the sensing means arrives at a set temperature responsive to the selected pattern.
