PURPOSE: To provide a degaussing circuit and a current limit device in which the degaussing operation can be surely realized while utilizing existing essential components without the use of a PTC and a relay circuit reaching a high temperature state.

CONSTITUTION: The device is provided with a thermosensing switch 16 connected in series with one terminal of a degaussing coil 8 via a PTC15 and the thermosensing switch 16 limits a current attended with heat generation in an NTC 7 to limit a rush current to a smoothing capacitor 4. Furthermore, the current limit device is provided with the thermosensing switch 16 interposed between the NTC7 and the PTC15 and the thermosensing switch 16 is provided with a thermal operating body bent with heat generation of the NTC7 and with a movable contact and a fixed contact opened with the bending action of the thermal operating body.
