To make excellent in biodegradability in natural environments and also to improve moldability, adaptability in distribution, mechanical strength or the like by molding a packaging container of a lactone resin or a composition containing a lactone resin which has been subjected to irradiation treatment.
A packaging container is formed of a composition constituting a lactone-containing resin with at least lactone resin subjected to irradiation. The irradiation may be performed for a single lactone resin, a mixture of the lactone resin and another biodegradable resin or with at least resin additive blended to the lactone containing resin before, during or after molding. By irradiation a crosslinking structure can be formed in the lactone resin. As a result, biodegradability is improved, and further, mechanical characteristics such as tensile strength, tensile elongation and tear strength are also improved.
