To efficiently remove or reduce organic components adhering on a dehumidifier rotor and causing deterioration of the dehumidifying capacity, in a dehumidifying apparatus having a dehumidifying passway and a regenerating passway using a humectant.
The dehumidifying apparatus provided with the dehumidifying passway 6 to suck indoor air from a dehumidifying fan 5 and to discharge dehumidified air by causing the air to pass through a dehumidification area 3a of the rotary dehumidifier rotor 3, and the regeneration passway 11 which evaporates moisture with a regeneration fan 8 by spraying air heated with a regeneration heater 9 to a regeneration area 3b separated from the dehumidification area 3a of the dehumidifier rotor 3 to condense into water droplets by a heat exchanger 10. The deterioration of the dehumidifying capacity is prevented by cleaning the dehumidifier rotor 3 when the air temperature immediately after coming-out from the dehumidifier rotor 3 of the regeneration passway 11 is continuously low.
