PURPOSE: To exactly and positively dehydrate an umbrella by pivotally supporting an openable cover on an opening of an umbrella receiver, which is formed to be funnel-shaped and is opened at its upper side opening, and providing drainage means for collecting and discharging moisture attached to an inner wall surface of the cover.
CONSTITUTION: When a cover 21 is opened to permit an umbrella 11 to be inserted into an umbrella receiver, a ferrule 32 of the umbrella actuates a switch lever 30 to make a switch 31 in a closed condition. Subsequently, a user closes the cover 21, the switch is closed to drive a fan 14. A driving force of the fan 14 causes pressure air to be fed between the inside of the umbrella receiver and the umbrella 11 so that moisture adhered to the umbrella 11 inserted into the umbrella receiver is blown up by an action of the pressure air for dehydration of the umbrella 11. Water droplets 33 blown up by air pressure attach to and go along a rear surface of the cover 21 to fall into and go along a trough 27 to be discharged outside through a discharge pipe 28.
