Abstract:

To provide a dehydration accelerator of lime sludge, which can greatly reduce a water content ratio in lime sludge cake in a causticizing process of kraft pulp production.

The dehydration accelerator of lime sludge contains a specific polyoxyalkylene alkyl (or alkenyl) ether as an effective component, which is represented by: an alkyl group or an alkenyl group of a 3 to 7C; ethylene oxide addition molar number of 0 to 30; and propylene oxide addition molar number of 1 to 50.
