PURPOSE: To make possible the high pressure dehydration of garbage by crushing garbage to pieces after adding a small quantity of water, then loading the crushed garbage in a cell with a filter installed on the one end, and applying pressure toward the filter with the application of voltage for dehydration.
CONSTITUTION: A piston 3 which constitutes a pressurizing device is provided on one end of a solid cell l lined with an electric insulation 1a, and a metal mesh which acts as a filter 4 is installed on the other end. In addition, a feed device 9 of garbage 2 is provided on one end of the cell 1, and at the same time, either of negative or positive polar plate 3a is added to the front of the piston 3. On the other hand, a punching metal 4a below the filter 4 is used as a corresponding polar plate to said polar plate. Further, the filtration plate 5 of the filter 4 is made movable against the cell 1. When dehydrating garbage 2, a small amount of water is added to the garbage 2 to crush it to pieces, and the crushed garbage is loaded in the cell 1. In addition, the crushed garbage is pressed toward the filter 4 using the piston 3 with the application of voltage for dehydration. Thus it is possible to dehydrate garbage under high pressure.
