Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deinking agent that allows recycled pulp that has high whiteness and contains a small amount of residual ink to be produced from thermally-deteriorated used paper, and can generate foams having both of adequate foaming properties and prompt defoaming properties and thereby can excellently conduct an operation when deinking treatment is a floatation method, and to provide a deinking method using the same.SOLUTION: The deinking agent contains: a component (I) comprising a compound represented by the following general formula (1); and a component (II) comprising combination of a compound represented by the following general formula (2), and/or an aliphatic acid having 14-20 carbon atoms and/or a salt thereof, and a monohydric alcohol having 6-10 carbon atoms. R-O-(PO)-(AO)-H (1) and R-COO-R(2). (In the formula (1), Rrepresents a saturated or unsaturated aliphatic hydrocarbon group having 12-22 carbon atoms, PO represents a propyleneoxy group, m represents an integer of 1-12, AO represents an ethyleneoxy group or a propyleneoxy group, n represents an integer of 38-99, at least one group in a plurality of AO is an ethyleneoxy group, at least one group is a propyleneoxy group, and (m+n) is 50-100, and in the formula (II), Rrepresents a saturated or unsaturated aliphatic hydrocarbon group having 13-19 carbon atoms and Rrepresents a saturated or unsaturated aliphatic hydrocarbon group having 6-10 carbon atoms.)
